Most of the offseason honors have been doled out across college football. A week after Jayden Daniels took home the Heisman Trophy, Pro Football Focus got in on the action by announcing its All-SEC teams. Two Kentucky Wildcats made the cut on the defensive side of the line of scrimmage.

Defensive lineman Deone Walker, linebacker D’Eryk Jackson and return specialist Barion Brown earned First Team All-SEC honors from PFF.

Seeing Walker among the best of the best in the SEC is not a surprise. He was a First Team All-SEC selection by the Associated Press as well. The dominant defensive lineman recorded 55 tackles and led Kentucky in tackles for loss (10.5) and sacks (5.5). For the entire season he posted grades over 80 in both run defense and pass rush, making him one of the best interior lineman in the conference.

Similar to Walker, Brown has been prominently featured in postseason All-SEC teams after he took two kickoff returns to the house in 2023. The Wildcat wide receiver is one of only six players in college football this fall with multiple return touchdowns.

The linebacker known by his teammates simply as D-Jack is somewhat of a surprise on the All-SEC team. He ranked second on the team in tackles with 53, but his coverage skills were exceptional. His 86.6 grade was among the best at his position in the SEC.

Walker and Brown preparing to return for their third seasons in Lexington, but Jackson has a decision to make. After competing for four years in Lexington, he went through Senior Day ceremonies ahead of the Alabama game. Jackson will go through the NFL Draft process for underclassmen alongside his running-mate, Trevin Wallace, before making a final decision about his future this spring.
