Bucks take thrilling Game 5

The first three games of the NBA Finals failed to produce drama in the final minutes but the last two Milwaukee victories have come by the thinnest of margins.

Wednesday’s Game 4 left everybody chattering about one of the great defensive plays in the history of the Finals and today it’s all about Milwaukee’s Big Three. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday combined for 88 points as all three made huge shots in the fourth quarter to push the Bucks over the top.

The Suns have now lost three straight and are a game away from elimination, but Devin Booker is not to blame. He made 17 shots and scored 42 points in Game 5 and last night he made 17 shots and scored 40 points.

Chris Paul, Deandre Ayton and the rest of the crew need to return to form — or maybe Khris Middleton needs to finally miss and Giannis needs to shrink. Either way, the Suns are in trouble.

Two former UK targets find new homes

Everybody is up to speed on the news that Illinois goliath Kofi Cockburn won’t be attending Kentucky as previously rumored, and will be returning for another year in Champaign. The biggest fish in the transfer market just got thrown back in the same pond, what a shame.

The other domino to drop was perhaps the second biggest catch of the portal. Minnesota point guard Marcus Carr is an elite talent and was once the apple of John Calipari’s eye. However, as his decision became more and more delayed, Cal found more immediate options and Carr has announced he’ll be going to Texas, a team that’s loaded both with transfers and returners.

Chris Beard is putting together a giant in year one.

JT Poston leads the way at the Barbasol Championship

Poston and his Kentuckian caddy, Aaron Flener, lead the way as we enter the final round of the Barbasol Championship. Poston is 19 under and leads by one stroke with 18 holes to go.

I’m not much of a golf guy, but if the club carrier is a Kentuckian then I think I’ll have to pull for our guy JT!
