Today on KSR: Playoffs, Tournaments, and Wins.

Good morning friends! Happy December! It's one of those rare Sunday's where not a lot is going on UK wise, but a lot is going on sports wise. So, let's get to it!

UK Got Their First GOOD Win, and Everyone is Finally Happy.

Ever since we blew out UNCG 78-61, I've been happy. I feel better, don't you? I know our team does. This adorable thing also happened at the game: I love me some Joe B. In all seriousness though, our team is finally coming together. Just defend the ball a little more (something I'm sure they'll work on at "Camp Cal") and we'll be in prime form. This team really reminds me of the 2014 team, and we all remember how special that team was. Let's all take a breath and relax and remember: it's ok to not be a perfect team. it's ok to be down three points at the half, it is not ok to freak out about every mistake these kids make.

UK Volleyball Marches On

UK VB is headed to the Sweet 16 after a slate of undefeated home tournament games this past week! Congrats ladies! If you didn't get out to see them play, here's a little of what you missed #Volleyballschool

College Football Did NOT Disappoint Yesterday

Where to even begin? It was a day of good conference championships. UCF came back and beat Memphis to remain undefeated, Ohio State escaped the Northwestern nerds, Oklahoma crazily defeated Texas and of course, the one everyone's talking about Georgia and Alabama. In a typical Georgia team fashion (looking at you, Falcons), UGA had the lead until right before the fourth quarter and blew it. This game had everything: crazy touchdowns, animated coaches, and a redemption story for Jalen Hurts. How can you hate this kid? You can't.

Playoffs

Playoffs? Playoffs? It's the one thing on (most) everyone's mind today. The College Football Playoff Selection Show is at noon today. We'll soon know the "best" four teams and then afterward, we'll start seeing where other teams like us, lie. So, who's in? [caption id="" align="alignnone" width="1674"] via @ESPNPR[/caption] Here's Kirk Herbstreit's opinion, and I don't disagree. I see the argument for Oklahoma over Notre Dame. A lot of people are saying that no one wants two SEC teams in the playoffs, but I don't think that's true. I know I for one would love to see a UGA/Bama rematch. Here's my only argument though: EXPAND THE PLAYOFFS TO SIX TEAMS. Thank you, that's all.

BBN to Orlando?

We'll know soon enough. But I'd say go ahead and pack your swimsuits BBN.

Cats in the NFL

Here's who you can watch today:
  • Danny Trevethan and Garrett Johnson with Matt Jones' Bears vs the Giants at 1 PM
  • Cory Peters and the Cardinals vs Randall Cobb and the Packers at 1 PM
  • Kayaune Ross and the Bengals vs the Broncos at 1 PM
  • Za'Darius Smith and the Ravens are going to LOSE to the Falcons today at 1 PM (maybe, hopefully, probably not though).
  • Avery Williamson and the Jets take on Wesley Woodyard and the Drew Franklins Titans at 4:05 PM
  • Bud Dupree, Farrington Huguenin, Kyle Meadows and the Steelers face the Chargers at 8:20 PM.
That's all for me. Go Cats and Go Falcons.
