Tom Izzo shares his thoughts on Kentucky
Kentucky and Michigan State are set to be one of the headliner college basketball games early in the season. The Cats and the Spartans will battle it out in the State Farm Champions Classic at the United Center in Chicago in early November; just the fifth game of the season for Kentucky. It is sure to be a battle of top-5 teams.
Following Michigan State’s practice yesterday Tom Izzo shared his opinions about the team to reporters. Joe Rexrode, a beat writer for the Detroit Free Press retweeted:
It’s well known that Izzo and John Calipari are friends, so you might just chalk this up to banter or a spark for his own team. Either way, the pressure is building and it seems the target is going up on the backs of Wildcats. Maybe we'll get Calipari to return fire?"We are working to kick Kentucky's ass" - Izzo
