One of the best football prospects in the 2025 class is on Kentucky’s campus this weekend for an unofficial visit. Zayden Walker, a 6’2″ five-star edge rusher out of Ellaville, Georgia, is in Lexington taking in all that Kentucky football has to offer as he evaluates his options amongst a host of suitors which include Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, Florida State, and Miami.

Every major recruiting service ranks Walker as the best edge rusher in America, and On3’s industry ranking lands him as the No. 9 overall best player in the class. More impressively, his stock is only climbing. KSR’s Adam Luckett predicts Walker could eventually be the No. 1 overall player in the class once all the dust has settled.

Walker is joining his teammate and brother, 2024 four-star wide receiver, Jalewis Solomon, who is on an official visit to Kentucky this weekend. Solomon is another recruit high on Kentucky’s wish list as Stoops and company look to arm Cutter Boley with the most talented targets available.

Walker most recently visited Miami back in May and raved about the experience. It will be interesting to hear what he has to say about Kentucky, who will most certainly lay down the red carpet for him and the rest of the many recruits on campus this weekend.

Is Walker seriously considering Kentucky or is this just a tag-along visit to support his brother? It is hard to say but with Vince Marrow on the scene, anything is possible. I imagine there will be a lot of references to Josh Allen this weekend, Kentucky’s most recent record-smashing pass rusher who ended up being a top-10 pick in the NFL draft.
