Ryan Lemond's health was the big topic on today's radio show, as Ryan prepares to get back into game shape like he was in this old photo. Listen to the podcast at the bottom of this post to hear what Ryan's doctor told him, plus Miss America drops by the KSR studio to join the guys on air. Go Cats. --- The big news of the day is the end of the road in the Kentucky-Indiana basketball rivalry. The two teams have played every year since 1969, but that streak will come to an end next season after both sides couldn't come to an agreement on a new contract. Indiana is blaming Kentucky for the end of the series; Kentucky is moving on to the next one. The rivalry is a big part of both basketball programs' histories, and it's a shame to see it come to an end after such a long, storied run. But at the end of the day, it's all business and UK didn't have any interest in playing in Bloomington. Calipari is taking his ball and going home. --- Hey, Nerlens, what do you think about not playing Indiana next season? Shut it down, indeed. --- Today we learned of yet another new option out there at guard for Kentucky next season. Julius Mays from Wright St. is transferring for his senior year of college basketball and he's considering Kentucky, Purdue, Michigan State, Cincinnati and Michigan. Mays, a dead-eye shooter from outside, will be eligible to play next season. --- In Team America news, John Wall will join DeMarcus Cousins on the USA Select Team. Wall, Cousins, and friends will train with Team USA in Las Vegas from July 6-12 before the 12-man Olympic team takes off to take on the world. --- The official list of early NBA draft entrants was released today and this year's class is STACKED. Scroll through the list of options NBA GMs have to choose from and then tell me why some of those guys thought this would be a good time to turn pro. --- Just when we thought we were done with realigning the conferences for a while, the Butler Bulldogs submitted a change of address form to join the Atlantic 10. Butler will become a full-fledged member in the 2013-2014 athletic season. --- UK announced a new contract today for UK Hoops head coach Matthew Mitchell, making him the highest paid women's basketball coach in the SEC. The deal will pay him a minimum $7.95 million over the next seven years and the pay raise was more than deserved. Congrats to Coach Mitchell. --- Come get your podcast...
