Toth named semifinalist for prestigious Campbell Award

jon-toth-p1 Kentucky center Jon Toth has been named a national finalist for the Campbell Award, named given each year to the nation's top scholar-athlete. The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame announced its semifinalists Thursday afternoon. The NFF will announce its 12-14 finalists on November 1 and each of them will receive an $18,000 postgraduate scholarship as a member of the NFF National Scholar-Athlete Class. The finalists will travel to New York City for the 59th NFF Annual Awards Dinner on December 6th, where one member of the class will be declared the winner of the 27th William V. Campbell Trophy and have his postgraduate scholarship increased to $25,000. Someone check on Freddie Maggard.
