Saturday is filled with high-profile basketball games at all levels. Not only does Kentucky head down to Fayetteville for a showdown this evening against Arkansas, but there’s an important high school game taking place in the hours before.

No. 1 Lyon County (20-1) and Kentucky commit Travis Perry will take on Tay Kinney, a class of 2026 Kentucky target, and No. 8 Newport (19-3) at 4:00 p.m. EST at Corbin Arena in the All “A” Classic semifinals. Perry poured in 37 points during the tournament opener against Owensboro Catholic on Thursday before chipping in 23 more during Friday’s win over Walton-Verona.

According to Larry Vaught, that puts the future Wildcat at an outstanding 4,978 career high school points, just 22 away from being the first Kentuckian to crack the 5,000-point mark. Perry is considered a four-star recruit from the class of 2024 and is ranked No. 87 overall by the On3 Industry Ranking.

Meanwhile, Kinney and Newport will present the Lyons with a tough challenge. Newport took down Sayre and Danville Christian, respectively, to reach tonight’s semis. Kinney is the team’s sophomore star as a 6-foot point guard with offers from the likes of Ohio State, Illinois, Louisville, Purdue, Notre Dame, and more. Kentucky has been showing more and more interest as of late, too. 247Sports ranks Kinney as a top 60 prospect in the 2026 class.

It should be a fun one.

If you can’t get down to eastern Kentucky this evening to see Perry and Kinney in action, all games are being streamed live on PrepSpin for a fee of $14.95 per day. On the other side of the bracket, Murray (18-5) will take on No. 13 Evangel Christian (16-4) at 5:30 p.m. EST. The championship game is set for Sunday at 2:00 p.m. EST.
