Tweet Beat: #TeamOreoNightcap

by: Mrs. Tyler Thompson01/25/13@MrsTylerKSR
As part of the never-ending quest to bring you University of Kentucky news in the most ridiculous manner possible, I comb the Twitter-verse each week for the funniest, oddest, and sometimes, nearly illegible tweets from your favorite players and personalities. Basically, I read Twitter so you don’t have to. Without further ado, here are the best tweets of the week. First thing's first, let's welcome RYAN HARROW back to Twitter! And yes, this is the real Ryan Harrow. His account has been certified by the UK Media Office and everything: @RealRyanHarrow. Just tweet when you're ready, Ryan. I can't wait to see what new shoes you've gotten since last time. Next up is this awesome interaction between Kyle Wiltjer and Sam Malone after the Auburn game: Two things: 1) Well done, Sam Malone 2) Kyle, we know you've been back on Twitter for a few weeks now, but you just haven't tweeted anything. #TweetBeatSeesAll We've been looking for signs of team unity all season, and now, I'm happy to report that I've found one: Oreo "nightcaps." It all started with Twany Beckham, who, according to endless Instagram pics of the frozen treats, can't go a night without one: Now, the trend has spread to his teammates: Judging from the pictures, Alex Poythress is a purist, while the WBA likes strawberries with their soft serve. The morale of the story? I now want an Oreo nightcap. The team did some more bonding on the way back from the Auburn game this weekend. Check out this series of tweets between Jon Hood and Tod Lanter: (Author's Note: The only way that first tweet could be any more "Jon Hood" is if he ended it with the hashtag #laketunes4thepontoon) Sarcasm on Twitter! Kentucky boys getting salty! Just in case you were wondering, Sam Malone is in on all those "Cheers" jokes: Things I did not expect: Tod Lanter being good at drawing. Come spring, Willie should recruit him to help decorate the sidewalks in front of the Wildcat Coal Lodge: Things I sort of expected: Willie Cauley-Stein being into pedicures. Doron would be so proud. Count Tod Lanter among those who think that grown men wearing sports jerseys is wrong: Happy belated birthday to Perry "Prairie Dog" Stevenson, who celebrated with "Phineas and Ferb" and The Avengers favors: Something tells me those decorations would not go over well at the Wildcat Coal Lodge these days. Who've you got: Chuck Hayes or "this kid" in Twister? Unless "this kid" is Boogie, I've gotta go with Chuck. Speaking of Boogie, I wonder what he wished for? Leave your suggestions in the comments section. I'm going with a new team. Who knew Derek Anderson and Michael Jordan were so tight? It's the little things in life, isn't it Doron? #whoup I cannot wait to see Anthony Davis' Red Bull commercials. Davis posted a sneak peek on Twitter this week: It's really weird to see him with a headband on. Ashley Judd made the rounds in Washington D.C. for the Inauguration, including a stop by the Kentucky Society Ball: Life would be even better if you were reading KSR at the same time, Ashley. Landon Foster's got trick shots! Even more, the boy's got optimism: Is it cuffing season again? Ah yes, Valentine's Day is just around the corner. Beware guys/gals: we're now in that narrow space of time in which you can break up with your significant other without seeming cruel and avoiding Valentine's Day drama. Is Randall Cobb taking a Philosophy course or something while he's back on campus? Just looking at Papa Brooks' Twitter pictures warm me up on this very, very cold day. Finally, who knew Bookie could be so cruel? #BookieTweetoftheWeek That's cold. Until next time, RT plz?
