UK's Big Wins and All-Time Record Against Alabama and Clemson
As Alabama and Clemson get ready to kick off for the third time in four years in the CFP National Championship, let's take a look back at all the times Kentucky beat the two college football powerhouses.
Kentucky has two wins against Alabama in the rivalry that dates back over 100 years. The Crimson Tide hold a 37-2-1 all-time record against the Cats with an average score of 26-7 in those 40 games played.
The series history is much better against Clemson. Kentucky is 8-5 against Clemson with an average score of 15.8-12.5. The Cats won the first four meetings and went 6-1 from 1925 through 1971.

Music City Bowl
December 29, 2006
Rich Brooks got Kentucky back into a bowl game for the first time in seven years in 2006, and the Cats pulled off the Music City Bowl upset over Clemson as a 10-point underdog. Highlights include a one-yard touchdown run by Kentucky linebacker Micah Johnson and a 70-yard bomb from Andre Woodson to Demoreo Ford for another score.
The win was the beginning of three straight bowl wins for the program.
Kentucky 40, Alabama 34 (OT) October 4, 1997 After 75 years without a win over Alabama, Tim Couch led the Wildcats to an upset victory in Lexington in 1997. Couch found his favorite target, Craig Yeast, for a 26-yard touchdown in overtime to pull off one of the biggest wins in UK history.
Kentucky 6, Alabama 0 November 18, 1922 Kentucky hosted Alabama on a very wet and muddy Stoll Field, the second-ever meeting between the two schools, almost a whole century ago. UK's Bruce Feller scored the game's only points on a six-yard touchdown run in the third quarter to even the all-time series at one win apiece.
