UK/UL Media Credentials List

Just thought you all might like to take a gander at the media credential list for the Louisville game on Saturday.  Keep in mind that these are just the passes granted, as many many more requests were denied. This list comes from Gary Parrish at CBSSportsline.  If it's wrong, blame him. Sports So we can infer several things from this list. 1. This game is a big deal not only locally, but nationally.  At my best count, there are at least 10 national media outlets that are going to be in Rupp. And that's not even to mention Titan Sports, which is UK's own unique international media outlet. 2. At least 8 different NBA teams have credentials. Most of the teams are likely to be in the top half of June's NBA Draft, so they're presumably coming to watch Wall, Cousins and Patterson. And maybe to see, in person, if Samardo Samuels has DCD (Derrick Character Disease). 3. UK hasn't forgotten the little guy. With the Lewis Co. Herald, the Middlesboro Daily News, Grant County News and the Winchester Sun getting credentialed, it means UK hasn't closed the small newspapers out just to fit more regional and national networks. 4. Oscar Combs is the man. Did any other single person get a credential? Nope. Forgive my ignorance, but what does he do now? Does he still write for the Cats Pause? Or does he get credentials just because he always has? Whatever it is, the guy has clout. What does this all mean? All the nation is filled with the buzz of UK Basketball again- and it feels good.
