Verne Lundquist will give it one more season in college football, then he is stepping down from his lead play-by-play role in the CBS booth, a position he has held since 2000. He will be replaced by Brad Nessler in the 2017 season as the voice of the "SEC on CBS." Lundquist will, however, continue his duties in college basketball and in golf. He will remain with the network for regular-season basketball, the NCAA Tournament, and CBS's golf coverage, including The Masters and the PGA Championship. Lundquist has been in the TV business for 53 years and he's not hanging it all the way up just yet.
