WATCH: Bud Dupree reflects on his time at Kentucky: "All in all, it's a family"

Bud Dupree may be lighting up the NFL with the Pittsburg Steelers, but he still credits much of his success to his time at the University of Kentucky, citing the program’s family-like atmosphere and the team’s “real-life” battles.
“We were going through a lot of ups and downs, a lot of adversity, but it just made me that much stronger,” Dupree says in the video, published by KY Wildcats TV. “Going to the NFL and seeing how the business side of the NFL is, I was prepared for that because of the things we had been going through. Coaching changes, staff changes. Then Coach Stoops came and he made it clear that he only wanted winners.”

In addition to the resources available on the football field, Dupree references the university’s academics, saying the relationships he was able to form with professors helped ensure his success and graduation.
