WATCH: Highlights from 5-on-5 battle between Kentucky and La Familia

Everyone, stop what you’re doing immediately — we have nearly two full minutes of 5-on-5 highlights to dissect and over-analyze.
With La Familia (Kentucky’s alumni team participating in its second straight The Basketball Tournament) inching closer to Friday’s opening round game at Memorial Coliseum, the former Wildcats have been preparing by taking on the upcoming 2025-26 Kentucky men’s basketball squad. Tuesday was a simple practice session, but the real fun got going on Wednesday afternoon when the two sides battled it out in a 5-on-5 scenario.
KSR’s Jack Pilgrim has all the behind-the-scenes info on the final score, player standouts, and more, over on KSBoard, but the talented folks over at UK’s video department were kind enough to bless us with some actual highlights earlier today of what went down on the Memorial Coliseum hardwood.
As for some quick notes before you dive into the fun below, there are a lot of clips showing off Otega Oweh, Jaland Lowe, and Trent Noah — particularly of Oweh. Mo Dioubate, Brandon Garrison, Kam Williams, Jasper Johnson, and Denzel Aberdeen were also spotted making good things happen. But don’t sleep on what Archie Goodwin and Kahlil Whitney were doing for La Familia — that’s the Lexington Regional’s number top seed for a reason.
