WATCH: Hype video for Kentucky vs. Kansas
Big Blue Nation, it’s time to get amped.
Ahead of Saturday night’s showdown between the No. 9 Kansas Jayhawks and Kentucky Wildcats, the talented folks over at KY Wildcats TV dropped a one-minute hype video that is sure to get your basketball juices flowing. In what will be the final matchup between these two Blue Bloods as part of the SEC/Big 12 Challenge, we go back in time to re-live some of the biggest moments from this intense rivalry.
From last season’s 18-point drumming of Kansas at Allen Fieldhouse to the national championship victory in 2012 to the overtime battle featuring two top 10 teams in 1978, and everything in between, there is plenty to reminisce on. Kentucky has owned the series throughout history, holding a 24-10 record against the Jayhawks since the very first matchup in 1950, although it’s been much closer over the last decade.
Even still, the ‘Cats will look to make it 25 wins tomorrow. Tipoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. EST inside Rupp Arena on ESPN. Only one more sleep until the two winningest programs in college basketball history face off once again.
