Tuesday morning three members of the Kentucky defense spoke for almost an hour with the media, touching on a ton of topics before the team takes a break for the holidays.

We were eager to hear Brad White speak for the first time since turning down LSU to stay at Kentucky. He was less eager to talk about the past and more excited to talk about the future, particularly the challenge of playing against fullbacks in the Citrus Bowl and what his new signees will bring to the defense.

JJ Weaver also spoke as he was named Mayo Clinic Comeback Player of the Year. If you don’t know his inspiring story, get to know it right now.

Linebacker Jacquez Jones provided a moment of levity in between all of the serious discussions. When asked why he believes the practice has been so energetic, Jones quickly responded, “I think we’re all just ready to get out of the cold weather and go to Orlando.”
