Blue Got In, again. Kentucky is playing in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl for the third time in eight years. Even though Mark Stoops is a frequent flyer to Jacksonville, the Big Blue Nation is still showing up in droves.

Ahead of the action on the football field at EverBank Stadium, Kentucky fans gathered at the Seawalk Pavilion in Jacksonville Beach for the official pregame pep rally.

Allow me to be candid — I did not expect a great turnout. It’s been spitting rain on and off all day and temperatures have hovered in the 50s. It did not matter. Hundreds of fans made it to the winter wonderland to cheer on the Cats with the Kentucky cheerleaders, dancers and marching band.

We spoke with Kentucky fans young and old. Maxwell Hairston‘s father, Marvin, also got a chance to finally tell me, “I told you so” to the entire world. See how all of the exciting action unfolded in the Sunshine State through the lens of the talented Steven Peake.
