WATCH: Mark Stoops argues no call with officials during Georgia game

In Kentucky’s 16-6 loss to No. 1 Georgia on Saturday, there was some questionable officiating. This is college football at the end of the day.
The game started with a strange fair catch call against Barion Brown on the opening kickoff and continued throughout the contest. At the end of the second quarter, Georgia received a favorable call when the official stopped the clock even though it looked like Brock Bowers was driven backward and therefore the clock should’ve kept rolling. That led to a field goal at the horn to extend UGA’s lead to 9-0.

Due to all of this, Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops was working the officials all afternoon. Things really got heated when there was no call on a third-and-long in the fourth quarter when Brown was knocked down after five yards. The officials instead decided to call intentional grounding. That flag was called off, but Stoops was still irate about the missed call.
KSR had field access for the game and caught the entire exchange on camera. Check out Stoops campaign for a critical call. A penalty there would’ve given Kentucky the chance to pull within 16-13 in the fourth quarter.
