What To Watch Today

by:Will Lentz03/05/11

Just because Kentucky doesn’t play until tomorrow doesn’t mean there aren’t games worth following on today.  In fact, two of them have a direct impact on Kentucky’s spot in the SEC Tournament (or at least their ability to get there.)  So here’s what to watch for you sports heads out there.

1:30 – Georgia at Alabama. Personally, I see this being the game that helps Kentucky out today.  As you know by now, either Georgia or Vandy has to lose today, and with Alabama playing to potentially get an at large bid to the NCAA’s – and Georgia not being that consistent, I suspect this is where the door will open for the Cats.

3:30 – Armageddon. I dunno if it’s actually on cable, but it’s pretty much always on TBS, so I’m sure it is.  Plus who doesn’t want to watch Bruce Willis kick an asteroids ass?

6:00 –  Florida at Vanderbilt. If Georgia does win though, don’t write off the two seed.  Vanderbilt is good and playing in their abomination of a gym is never easy, but Florida has been tough on the road.  If the game is close going to the end, it wouldn’t be shocking to see Florida pull out another close victory.

6:30 – UK Hoops take on Vanderbilt. Kentucky beat Vandy fairly convincingly in their previous two meetings this year, and if they can repeat it a third time, will likely find themselves playing for an SEC title against Tennessee tomorrow.

We’ll keep you posted on the road-to-the-two seed (and Matt will keep you posted on whatever minor conference tournament he’s at again,) but until then I’m still waiting on those Dunkin Donuts.  Don’t make me turn this blog around.
