Pleasant Grove, Al. wide receiver Christian Lewis has seen his star rise throughout an impressive senior season. Leading one of the top teams in Alabama's 5A class, he's caught 36 passes for 616 yards and ten touchdowns through seven games. His play prompted 247 Sports to elevate him to a four-star prospect as the No. 49 wide receiver in the country. Lewis has caught the attention of other SEC schools. Ole Miss and Texas A&M are kicking the tires in his recruitment as the Wildcats' pass offense struggles. Recruited by Jon Sumrall, Kentucky's lead recruiter in the south has sold Lewis on playing an important role in the resurrection of UK's passing game. The message has been well received by the talented wide receiver. https://twitter.com/ChrisLew__/status/1324491711746363394?s=20 Kentucky's 2021 recruiting class put an emphasis on adding playmakers. Desperate for athleticism at wide receiver, Lewis and Dekel Crowdus could make an immediate impact once their faxes are received during the Early Signing Period that begins in less than seven weeks on Dec. 16. A year after they fell in the finals on the final play, Lewis' Pleasant Grove High School will begin its march back to the Alabama 5A State Championship this Friday against Mae Jemison. The Spartans are 7-2, ranked third in Class 5A. Lewis shared a preview of what's to come with this touchdown from last Friday night. https://twitter.com/ChrisLew__/status/1321179377225400320?s=20
