Will Mark Pope land his first top-10 high school recruit as the head coach at Kentucky? We’ll find out in exactly 10 days.

2025 five-star wing Will Riley will make his commitment on June 23 at a public announcement held between 2-3:30 p.m. ET. The ceremony will take place at Rip Park Gym 3 and 4 on 2001 University East in Waterloo, Ontario, one featuring photos, autographs and a raffle, the dynamic scoring threat announced Thursday.

“Come see me commit on June 23rd!” he said.

Riley will choose between finalists Alabama, Kentucky, Illinois, Arizona and the New Zealand Breakers of the NBL.

A serious reclassification candidate for 2024, Riley is rated as the No. 10 overall prospect and No. 3 small forward in the 2025 On3 Player Rankings. Kentucky hosted him on an official visit back on June 4 along with other trips to Illinois and Alabama. He also visited Arizona in March.

The Fighting Illini are considered the favorites coming down the home stretch of his recruitment with Pope and the Wildcats right behind fighting to pull off the high-profile win. With one scholarship remaining ahead of the 2024-25 season, Kentucky would take him in either class, hoping to add yet another standout scorer who is currently averaging 21.9 points and 4.7 rebounds through 15 games on the EYBL circuit.

Can they do it? We won’t have to wait long to find out.
