Williamsburg High School's finest --- Ryan Wilson

by:Matt Jones05/08/06
How many of you out there were fans of 13th Region Kentucky basketball in the mid 1990s? Raise your hand.....ok well there may not be many, but if you were, then the names of Charles Thomas and Todd Cox of Harlan or Tony Petrowski of Corbin may be familiar to you. Well what about the name Ryan Wilson? Wilson was an underappreciate 13th region star, standing 6' 7" and scoring over 20 points a game, while making it a habit to block my friend Trevor Walters' shot. Few knew what happened to Wilson after high school as he was recruited by some small colleges before disappearing into the world of high school lore. Well until now. Recently we have discovered that Wilson is part of a venture that makes me very happy, Ohio Valley Wrestling. OVW (as the kids call it) is the minor league version of the WWE and is the home of such wrestling legends as CM Punk, "The Miz" from the Real World and a guy named Amish Roadkill. Well recently Wilson joined the fray, and here is his wrestling biograpy. Wilson has the potential (as the character Titus) to actually make the WWE and represent Kentucky well. So you better get on board the Wilson train now!
