You'll be Proud of the name of UK's new baseball stadium

When you go to watch the Bat Cats in 2019  you'll be watching their home games at the brand spanking new Kentucky Proud Park. Kentucky Farm Bureau entered into a 15-year agreement with JMI Sports for the rights. I think Kentucky Proud Park has a nice ring to it and it's significantly better than other corporate-named stadiums across the country, even the stadium across the street (sup, Kroger). Remember, JMI Sports purchased the multimedia rights for UK in 2014 for $210 million (15 years). In that deal, JMI works out the deals to name the stadiums on UK's campus and keeps the money from the partnership. But thanks to the $210 million from JMI UK was able to construct the $49 million ballpark. Now UK baseball plays in one of the nicest stadiums in the country and it will certainly help with recruiting. It holds 4,000 fans with room for 7,000 fans if the Cats host a regional or super regional in the NCAA Tournament. UK has already played a couple scrimmages in the new stadium and I've heard nothing but great things. I can't wait to check out Kentucky Proud Park (KPP) in 2019. [mobile_ad]
