In Football News today . . .

Za'Darius Smith has been showing off his skills in his first NFL practices, according to the Carrol County Times. On one play he even read Matt Schaub, broke into the flat, intercepted the QB's pass and ran it back for a TD.
"He's his own man, very athletic guy, very serious guy in terms of his approach to the game," Ravens Coach John Harbaugh said. "He's a good fit for our defense, so I'm excited about seeing how he does. This is like all those guys. Once we get the pads on, we'll know a lot more. But so far so good."

And in Pittsburgh ...

Bud Dupree is looking to be a quick study, according to BehindTheSteelCurtain.com. "The first day was kind of fast for me and the rest of the rookies, but I feel like we are adjusting well and learning the plays on the go," Dupree said. "Me and the rest of the rookies are just going on what we see right now. Once we keep having practices and keep getting used to the NFL life and the NFL game speed, I think we'll adjust well." Good luck to those guys. We love ya. More links tonight! Go Big Blue!
