Zion Williamson is a cheat code

It should be illegal to have a Zion Williamson.

Duke’s star freshman is not a real human being and it’s unfair that he gets to play among the likes of regular student-athletes in an NCAA event. Williamson is like Bo Jackson in Tecmo Super Bowl or like the Golden State Warriors in the present day NBA — it’s cheating.

Williamson is an otherworldly physical specimen and last night we learned he is a damn good basketball player, too. There were concerns with how his game would translate from dunking on high schoolers in South Carolina to having to play actual basketball at the collegiate level, and he proved to us all that he’s more than a YouTube sensation. Kid’s got game. It just sucks that Kentucky had to be on the other end of the Zion experiment in the Champions Classic.

So to all of the Zion doubters out there, a group that included myself until yesterday, it’s time to own up to the freezing cold takes. Williamson is a beast and he (and his teammates) will be the talk of college basketball for the next five months.

And the scariest part about him?

He’s not even as good as R.J. Barrett.
