Elite WR Caleb Cunningham sets LSU visit

2025 Ackerman (Miss.) Choctaw County wide receiver Caleb Cunningham was at LSU for an unofficial visit in June. Now he’ll be back in Baton Rouge on Saturday for LSU vs. Arkansas.
During his summer trip, he enjoyed himself with the staff overall.
“It was great, I truly enjoyed myself. They took care of me showing good hospitality,” Cunningham told On3. “They definitely will be in my top schools list when I figured out who my top schools will be. The campus tour was great, I really enjoyed it. I was glad they let some people talk to me about the academic part.
“There’s more stuff I could say about LSU that stood out, but I’m not because I know it’ll looked like I typed an essay.”
Wide receivers coach Cortez Hankton, offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock and analyst Carter Sheridan all were key during his visit. LSU dove deeper into how the Tigers could use the elite wideout.
“The meeting with coach Hankton, he showed me how they do drills in practice that transition into the game and showed me some formations of their offense,” he said. “Had a meeting with the offensive coordinator, coach Denbrock. He showed me how he can use me in their offense. They can put me in a 1-on-1 situation and let me work. They do a good bit of jet sweeps and I love that they throw the ball a good bit. He (Sheridan) has a good vibe and I reach out to him every week.”
