LSU Tigers tight end Trey'Dez Green (14) attempts to catch a pass Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025 during the NCAA football game against the Clemson Tigers at Memorial Stadium in Clemson, South Carolina. LSU Tigers won 17-10.

LSU tight end Trey’Dez Green has been officially ruled out for Saturday night’s game against Florida, per the team injury report. On Wednesday, Green was ruled questionable, then he moved to doubtful on Thursday, before being a scratch on Saturday evening.

“Trey’Dez has a sprain, but the good news is it’s a sprained MCL,” Kelly said on Monday. “Those are injuries you can come back from rather quickly. We’ll see where he is, and we’ll list him as questionable and work our way through the week and see where he is at the end of the week.”

Per Pete Nakos, one source circled the Ole Miss game near the end of the month as a hard return date. Green has two catches for 17 yards and a touchdown in two games. With the expectation that Green could miss this weekend against Florida, expect Bauer Sharp and Donovan Green to play larger roles.

Trey’Dez Green left the game on Saturday and returned on crutches with a brace on. He had a knee injury, but the MRI results came back positive that it was not a season-ending injury.

With Green sidelined, Bauer Sharp has much more on his shoulders and should be an every down player for LSU in this game. The blocking and receiving ability gives the Tigers some versatility, but the receivers will have to step up in Green’s absence, particularly in the redzone.

The rest of LSU’s injury report

Center Braelin Moore is not listed on the injury report and he is expected to start for the Tigers against the Gators. Morre suffered an ankle sprain last week against Louisiana Tech and entered the qeek questionable before progressing and being able to practice and ultimately play.

On Monday, Kelly said Moore’s situation was better than it appeared.

“We did not get the sense he got a high ankle sprain or that he would need a tight rope procedure and he was going to be out for four weeks,” Kelly said on Monday. “He’s going to be day-to-day and see how he feels. He felt better today, so we’re going to list him as questionable, and that could change to probable as we go through the week. We’ll see how that progresses.”

On Thursday, Kelly said Moore took all of the first team reps and was good to go against Florida.

Freshman defensive tackle Zion Williams was the only other player ruled out on the injury report. Wide receiver Destyn Hill missed last week with a hand injury, but is not on the injury report after being questionable earlier in the week.

LSU and Florida kickoff at 6:30 p.m. CT as the Tigers look to get to 3-0 and start SEC play with a win.
