Frank Wilson, Cortez Hankton visit 4-star LSU commit Khai Prean

2023 Belle Rose (La.) St. James wide receiver and LSU commit Khai Prean is set to sign early with the Tigers. On Sunday, LSU coaches went in-home with him and his family.
Associate head coach Frank Wilson and wide receivers coach Cortez Hankton checked in on the four-star commit and his family, as seen in the picture below.
According to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Prean ranks as the No. 294 overall prospect in the country, No. 9 athlete in the nation and No. 15 prospect in Louisiana.
Khai Prean picked the Tigers over Auburn, Florida State, Mississippi State, Tennessee and numerous others. This weekend, he’ll officially visit LSU.
Khai Prean brings dynamic playmaking to LSU
St. James Head Coach LaVanta Davis talked about Prean with On3 earlier this year and what he brings to the team. He credited his ability to being dynamic, along with his attitude and work ethic.

“He’s a dynamic player, he’s a great student athlete, student first, good athlete, he’s a great, humble kid, his parents did a great job with him and his brother,” Davis said. “So we’re excited to have great leadership to the team, he brings work ethic to the team, he brings passion.”
Davis also talked about where Khai Prean can still improve and how that fits with the rest of the team through this season.
“It’s still a little things that he has to work on. Obviously, alignment on the field, things of that nature, but it’s more development as a team,” Davis said. “We’ve got to continue to build on and utilize our scripts and build on our weaknesses.”
