LSU-Texas A&M kickoff time, TV coverage announced

LSU will kick off inside Tiger Stadium against Texas A&M on Nov. 18 at 11 a.m. CT on ESPN, the SEC announced on Monday. The Tigers are fresh off a 52-35 win over Florida on Saturday when Brian Kelly’s squad improved to 7-3 overall.

Kelly was thrilled with how his team responded in the 2nd half against Florida. The Tigers broke it open thanks to the play of their quarterback.

“We were able to make some adjustments at half and locked down some protections that they were overloading some of our protections,” Kelly told On3. “We got the one-on-one matchups that eventually, you know, broke it open for us. I thought their quarterback was really good. Our quarterback was just better.”

LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels became the only player in college football history to throw for over 350 yards and rush for over 200 yards in a single game. Daniels carved up the Florida defense to the tune of over 600 all-purpose yards and five total touchdowns and in the process, etched his name in college football history.

“If he didn’t win it tonight, he’s got to be the leading candidate because what he did tonight, unless the Heisman is just about popularity, if you want to be the most popular, then fine, but he’s the best player in college football,” Kelly said. “He did something tonight that no one’s ever done. So if that doesn’t make you the leading candidate, then maybe the Heisman is not really for the best player. Maybe it’s for the most popular player.”

Following his spectacular performance against the Florida Gators. Daniels currently holds the first place spot in the On3 Heisman Hot Board for all of the experts with On3.com: Andy Staples, J.D. PicKell, Jesse Simonton, Matt Zenitz, and Charles Power.
