Top 100 QB George MacIntyre has LSU among his leaders

Tennessee four-star quarterback George MacIntyre has more than 30 college offers, and the LSU Tigers are squarely in the mix.
At 6-foot-5.5 pounds, MacIntyre is the No. 2 quarterback prospect and No. 13 overall recruit on the On3 Industry Rankings for the 2025 class.
Following a wave of college visits this offseason, MacIntyre heads into his junior season at Brentwood Academy with a plan in place for how his recruiting process will play out moving forward.
LSU’s offseason visits keep momentum rolling for the Tigers
MacIntyre was in Tiger Stadium for LSU’s overtime win over Alabama a year ago, and he followed the trip up with multiple return visits to Baton Rouge this spring and summer.
The four-star quarterback’s next LSU visit will come Sep. 23 when the Tigers host Arkansas.
Thanks to a close relationship with LSU quarterbacks coach Joe Sloan, the Tigers have joined Alabama and Tennessee as a trio of teams that have MacIntyre’s attention this fall.
“Coach Sloan, he’s one of the best out there,” MacIntyre told On3’s Josh Newberg. “He’s a great recruiter, great coach, great guy.
“And I’ve really enjoyed being at LSU. I’ve got a couple friends down there now that are also recruits and a couple are committed. It’s been great going down there, and I’ve talked to (LSU head coach Brian Kelly) quite a bit. It’s kind of a family feel with their staff.”
What’s MacIntyre’s timeline for a decision?
This offseason, MacIntyre told On3 that he wouldn’t make his college choice until after his junior season – which gives teams a chance to host him on unofficial visits for games this fall.

He’s already taken in a visit to Tennessee for the program’s opener, and he’s set to be back in Knoxville for the Texas A&M game in October. MacIntyre will be in Tuscaloosa for Alabama’s game against Texas this weekend, then comes the return trip to Baton Rouge on Sep. 23. He also said a trip to UCLA for a game is a possibility.
When it comes to narrowing down his double-digit offer list, the nation’s No. 2 quarterback prospect said he will likely keep things close to the vest as he weighs his top options.
“As far as releasing a list, I’d say I’m not going to do it for a while,” MacIntyre said. “It doesn’t really matter what’s out on Twitter, it matters more what’s in my heart and stuff like that.”
When the time comes, MacIntyre said he will lean heavily on his top preferences for a college program.
“I would say development is a big part of it, and a family feel as well,” he said. “The locker room, and are they on a winning trajectory where they’re either going to start winning or keep winning?”
