George MacIntyre has football in his DNA. He's the grandson of former Vanderbilt coach George MacIntyre, who was named SEC and national coach of the year in 1982. Mike MacIntyre, George's uncle, coached at San Jose State, Colorado and FIU and in the NFL. His cousins, Jay and Jonston MacIntyre, also have college coaching resumes. MacIntyre led Brentwood Academy to the 2022 state semifinals by throwing for 2,341 yards and 19 touchdowns. While football is his first passion, he also received scholarships to play basketball in college after leading BA to the Division II-AA state championship as a sophomore. "George has earned all the opportunities and offers coming his way," BA coach Jacob Gill said. "He's an extremely talented player, but he's also a very hard worker. That hard work is what separates him from other good players and makes him great."

The mechanical foundation points to a baseline level of accuracy. A bouncy, light-footed mover within the pocket. Avoids pressure in the backfield, stepping up in the pocket. Capable of making high-level second-reaction plays. Has encouraging improvisational skills. Shows a long stride in the open field. Doubles as a high-level high school basketball player and received high major looks as an underclassman. Plays a tough schedule, but does not have the production or efficiency typical of an elite quarterback prospect. High school team struggled in his junior season, but showed improvement as a senior. Does not always spin the ball well and the arm strength registers as average to below average relative to his highly-rated peers. Must fill out his thin frame to hold up physically at the next level.
