WATCH: LSU RB commit Caden Durham dominates in State Championship win

2024 Duncanville (Tex.) running back Caden Durham is set to sign with LSU on Wednesday, but went out a back-to-back state champion. Check out the clips as he dominated in the state championship game on Saturday.
Durham’s 22 carries for 231 yards and three touchdowns was the exclamation point on a dominant season, but particularly a dominant playoff run. He was critical in the 49-33 win over Houston (Tex.) North Shore.
“I told them we were gonna do it again and we did it,” Durham said post-game. “Here we are.”
Legendary Panthers coach Reginald Samples dished out plenty of praise to the future LSU Tiger in his postgame press conference.

“People don’t realize that Caden is an outstanding person,” Samples said in his postgame press conference. “Outstanding young man. With that, I think that the success that he has kind of bounces off his personality. As far as the type of running back he is, he’s one of the best I’ve coached. Of course, he makes me a good coach. Just proud that he’s on my team.”
Durham committed to LSU over A&M and Oklahoma on Aug. 10. Durham is the No. 117 prospect and No. 9 running back in the 2024 cycle, per the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
