Miami is back in the top 10 of the Rivals 2026 Industry Ranking football Team Recruiting Rankings after landing four commitments in four days.

The Hurricanes now sit in 10th place after starting the week just outside the top 10 but climbing after landing top-150 safety James “JJ” Dunnigan Sunday, four-star EDGE DeAnthony Lafayette Monday and three-star defensive linemen Isaac Chukwurah and Logan Nagle Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. Miami is now ahead of Michigan and LSU in 11th and 12th places but still behind Texas and Tennessee in eighth and ninth places.

Miami’s 29-man recruiting class is currently the fourth-largest of any school ranked in the top 25 behind No. 16 North Carolina (36), No. 1 USC (35) and No. 2 Georgia (30). Miami’s 91.585 rankings score, which is calculated by taking the average player ratings of the top 17 commits, puts the Hurricanes within three tenths of a point of Tennessee at 91.850 and seven tenths of a point of Texas at 92.204. However, Miami and 11th-place Michigan are currently separated by less than a tenth of a point.

Four-star Miami defensive tackle commit Anthony Kennedy is currently expected to flip to Missouri, although his flip shouldn’t immediately affect Miami’s class score considering he is not one of the Canes’ top 17-rated commits.

Miami is still involved with a number of blue-chip recruits whose commitments could potentially cement the Hurricanes’ top-10 ranking, although it now seems unlikely the Canes could finish with a top-five class. Top-five prospect, LSU commit and No. 1 ATH/DT Lamar Brown, four-star Oregon ATH/WR commit Jalen Lott, four-star Alabama defensive line commit Nolan Wilson and four-star Texas A&M defensive line commit Bryce Perry-Wright remain top-100 recruits on Miami’s wish list.

Four-star Colorado tight end commit Gavin Mueller, who will visit this weekend, four-star safety Blake Stewart and four-star Wisconsin running back commit Amari Latimer could help solidify the Canes’ position in the top 10 if Miami is able to seal the deal with the three priorities.

It’s still possible Miami could jump Tennessee in ninth or Texas in eighth depending which combination of players the Hurricanes can land to close the cycle, although Miami will likely need multiple top-100 commitments to climb into the top five, six or seven.

We continue to anticipate Miami will ultimately sign somewhere between 30 and 32 prospects.
