Michigan State lands Louisiana EDGE Chris Addison

The Fourth of July fireworks have begun for Michigan State, as the Spartans have added yet another member to their 2026 recruiting class. Three-star defensive end Chris Addison announced his Spartan commitment on Thursday evening, kicking off a weekend of celebration ahead.
Addison (6-5, 235), of Winnsboro (LA) Franklin Parish High School, took an official visit to East Lansing during the weekend of June 13. He also took official visits with Arizona State, Florida State, UCLA, and Tulane before shutting down his recruitment.
The defensive lineman holds other offers including Arkansas, TCU, North Carolina, Texas Tech, Mississippi State, Baylor, Vanderbilt, and others. He is ranked a three-star, the No. 574 overall recruit in his class. Addison is also ranked the No. 54 edge rusher, and the No. 17 recruit in Louisiana.
Addison tallied 63 total tackles, including 15 tackles for a loss and eight and a half sacks as a junior in 2024. He also forced four fumbles on the season. On offense, Addison logged 41 receptions for 889 yards and ten touchdowns.
The defensive end is a big pickup for Spartan rush ends coach Chad Wilt on the recruiting trail.
