Michigan State signs 2026 three-star Memphis (Tenn.) Whitehaven EDGE Cory House
Michigan State signed 2026 three-star edge Cory House, of Memphis (Tenn.) Whitehaven High School, on Wednesday.
House (6-4, 230) has been committed to the Spartans since June. He chose Michigan State over offers from Iowa, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Indiana, Arkansas and Vanderbilt, among others, after taking an official visit to East Lansing. House will enroll at Michigan State in May 2026.
”Going up there, I was looking for a brotherhood, so I stayed with the players for a few hours each day and I was really surprised at how well I fit in with them,” House previously told SpartanMag. “The way I fit in with them exceeded my expectations. It wasn’t like they were forced to hangout. It felt like nothing new.”
House is the No. 1,139 recruit in the 2026 class, per the Rivals Industry Rankings. He’s also the No. 100 edge and No. 32 player from Tennessee in his class.

Michigan State holds additional defensive end commitments from Fameitau Siale and Chris Addison, but it’s unclear if either plan to sign on Wednesday or not. Neither of the Spartan pledges have announced their signing day plans.
SCOUTING REPORT
House moves well for his size and length. He’s athletic and has long arms, which he used at the line of scrimmage while playing outside linebacker and edge for Whitehaven. House will need time in a college weight room to fully develop as he also works on turning the corner and bending his hips.
House tallied 65 tackles (15 for a loss), five sacks, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery as a senior this fall. He logged 51 tackles (seven for a loss), five sacks and one fumble recovery as a junior last season.
