Following the future: How Michigan commits performed over the weekend

Michigan commits were back on the field this weekend.
With the high school football season underway, future Wolverines are doing their best to impress on Friday nights. Here is a quick look at how they performed.
QB Brady Smigiel, Newberry Park (Calif.) High
The Skinny: Smigiel completed 18-of-45 passes for 293 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions. He also rushed for 26 yards and a touchdown in Newberry Park’s 46-41 loss to Downey (Calif.) St. Pius X-St. Matthias.

QB Peter Bourque, Marion (Mass.) Tabor Academy (2027)
The Skinny: Bourque completed 10-of-18 passes for 210 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for a touchdown in Tabor Academy’s 37-6 win over Easthampton (Mass.) Williston Northampton.
