Tweets Of The Day

St. Louis (Mo.) Cardinal Ritter College Prep wide receiver Fredrick Moore committed to Michigan on Friday afternoon, he announced via Twitter. He picked the Wolverines over offers from Illinois, Michigan State, Iowa, Texas A&M, Penn State, and a handful of others.

Michigan offered Moore only a few months ago. However, the relationships between he and the staff progressed quickly and were solidified on his recent official visit.

Michigan receivers coach Ron Bellamy was a major factor in this recruitment for Moore and was the primary reason the official visit took place.

“Me and coach Bellamy are cool,” Moore said. “I can call him anytime I want and we can just have a normal conversation. He is a coach I really look up to.”

At 6-foot, 180 pounds, Moore ranks as the No. 77 wide receiver and No. 511 overall recruit, per the On3 Consensus. Michigan now holds seven commitments in the 2023 class, five on the offensive side of the ball.

Michigan notched its second commitment of the day when Consensus four-star linebacker Semaj Bridgeman gave the Wolverines a pledge on Friday evening.

The Philadelphia (Pa.) Imhotep Charter product picked Michigan over offers from Alabama, Georgia, Michigan State, Oregon, Penn State, Maryland, Florida, LSU, South Carolina Rutgers, Tennessee and others.

Bridgeman made an official visit to Michigan earlier this summer and immediately began trending on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. Rutgers hosted Bridgeman for his final official visit, but the Wolverines were able to fight off their Big Ten bunkmate and secure a key win recruiting win.

Bridgeman’s commitment to Michigan comes on the heels of a tough loss at the linebacker position. Top 100 Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln prospect Raylen Wilson sided with Michigan in December but backed out of his verbal pledge on Tuesday. Wilson is now trending towards Georgia.

Bridgeman started at both linebacker and tight end for Warminster (Pa.) Archbishop Wood as a junior but recently transferred to Northeast powerhouse Philadelphia (Pa.) Imhotemp Charter for his senior season.

At 6-foot-1, 235 pounds, Bridgeman is ranked as the No. 26 linebacker and No. 319 overall prospect in the country, per the On3 Consensus.
