Rosa Fort High School’s Christian Alexander was one of the most productive players in the Magnolia State last season. The 2027 running back and Rivals composite four-star prospect accounted for nearly 2,000 yards of offense with 23 touchdowns.

Alexander and his teammates move up a classification this fall but he still expects another productive season at Rosa Fort. Alexander is rated as the nation’s No. 23 running back and the state’s No. 9 prospect per Rivals.

“It was smooth last year and we made it to the third round of the playoffs,” Alexander recalled. “I made all-state running back, too, and it was a smooth year. This year we are moving up to Class 4A and they have us No. 12 in those power rankings.”

As a sophomore, Alexander lined up mostly at running back and quarterback. Entering this season he noted of his offseason improvements and expectations for his junior campaign.

“I will still be at running back,” added the 5-foot-9 and 195-pound Alexander. “But I want to be better than last year. So I’ve been working a lot on my footwork.”

College programs also took notice of Alexander’s talents last season. He is nearing double-digit offers and is also collecting SEC interest.

“I have offers from Southern Miss, Tulsa, New Mexico State, Oregon State, UCF, Old Dominion and Mississippi Valley State,” remarked Alexander. “It has been amazing to have a lot of eyes on me and I know I have to keep proving myself to maintain those offers. I’m also getting interest from Mississippi State, Florida and Auburn and Ole Miss.”

Last month saw Alexander take in a couple of SEC camps in the Magnolia State. He shared that Mississippi State has been staying in touch since that camp appearance in Starkville.

“This summer I went to Mississippi State and Ole Miss,” noted Alexander. “I also went to a Future 50 camp in Florida. Mississippi State has been staying in touch and sending me graphics. They showed me love when I visited there and it was good to be around their coaches.”

Still in the early stages of his recruitment, Alexander is keeping an open mind about any favorites or his college options. But he does know what factors he will be studying the most at the next level.

“There’s a few things,” Alexander mentioned. “I am looking for good coaching staffs and a good education. Those are the biggest two things and then just seeing how my relationships are with these coaches.”
