Ohio's top 2027 player picks Diamond Dawgs

There doesn’t appear to be any signs of slowing down for Brian O’Connor in Mississippi State’s class of 2027.
The coach continued his incredible start to the class as he landed another top 100 player. Daniel is the No. 1 player in the state of Ohio for the class and No. 54 nationally by Prep Baseball Report. The 6’0, 215-pound athlete also stars for his Indian Hill High School football team and has picked up offers from Northwestern, Liberty and Toledo in football.
Baseball appears to be the sport for Daniel’s future as he has grabbed offers from Ohio State, Kentucky, Georgia, Arkansas, Baylor and many others. He visited Starkville earlier this month and turned down those opportunities to become a Diamond Dawg.
As a sophomore, Daniel batted .557 with 19 stolen bases, 12 doubles, eight triples, six home runs. He helped Indian Hill to a 24-9 record and the first state tournament appearance since 1993 while finishing as a semifinalist for just the second time in school history.

Additionally, Daniel was a 2,200-yard rusher for the football team as a sophomore while scoring 34 touchdowns. He’s played quarterback this season and has nearly 1,500 yards of total offense and 25 touchdowns.
Daniel is the seventh member of the 2027 signing class that is growing into a monster first full class for O’Connor. OF the seven-player class, six of those players are now inside the top 100. Two of those are top 10 players nationally in Connor Salerno and Kyler Meccage with other top 100 players being Sullivan Reed, Carson Kinnick and Deuce Jenkins.
