State announces double-dip for Egg Bowl and Bulldog basketball

Black Friday on November 28th will be a jam-packed day for Mississippi State athletics this year. On Thursday, the school announced that the Egg Bowl will be held on Black Friday with an 11 a.m. kickoff at Davis Wade Stadium. Last year’s Egg Bowl was also on Friday on Oxford after several years of the Egg Bowl being on Thanksgiving night.
Also on that same day, head coach Chris Jans and the Mississippi State basketball team will host ACC foe SMU at Humphrey Coliseum. A tip-off time along with tv network assignment for the basketball game will be announced at a later time. The tv network assignment for the Egg Bowl will also be announced at a later time.

Along with the home game versus SMU, other non-conference basketball games set for Mississippi State include the Hall of Fame Classic event in Kansas City, Mo., on Nov. 20-21 and a home game against Memphis on Dec. 20th. The Bulldogs will also face Utah in a neutral-court setting at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, at a date to be determined later along with the SEC/ACC Challenge, which will be a road game for State on Dec. 2nd or Dec. 3rd. The opponent and tip-off time will be announced later.
In the Hall of Fame Classic, State will be joined by Nebraska, Kansas State and New Mexico. Tip-off times and first-round matchups will be determined later.
