Diamond Dawgs in the Show Update: June 10

It’s baseball season yet again.
The Major League Baseball season is underway and several former Mississippi State players are doing their thing on baseball’s biggest stage. That includes former State standout Jake Mangum who made his debut with Tampa Bay this year and he has made a major impact.
The State legend is one of seven former Bulldogs that are active in the league with several more likely in and out this year. A few players made moves in the offseason like Nathaniel Lowe going to Washington and Adam Frazier making his return to the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Jordan Westburg is back looking to build on his breakthrough season with the Baltimore Orioles while Brent Rooker is hoping to continue his great run with Oakland. State also has arms Brandon Woodruff and JP France working back recovering from injuries last season.
Over the last week, Frazier batted .500 and had seven hits in four games while Lowe managed six hits with a double and another home run. Mangum is getting back into form and had four hits in a win over the Boston Red Sox while Westburg got called back up after working back from injury.
