Diamond Dawgs in the Show Update: May 27

It’s baseball season yet again.
The Major League Baseball season is underway and several former Mississippi State players are doing their thing on baseball’s biggest stage. That includes former State standout Jake Mangum who made his debut with Tampa Bay this year and he has made a major impact.
The State legend is one of 10 former Bulldogs that are active in the league with several more likely in and out this year. A few players made moves in the offseason like Nathaniel Lowe going to Washington and Adam Frazier making his return to the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Jordan Westburg is back looking to build on his breakthrough season with the Baltimore Orioles while Brent Rooker is hoping to continue his great run with Oakland. State also has arms Brandon Woodruff and JP France working back recovering from injuries last season.
Last week, Kendall Graveman had a couple of scoreless appearances on the mound. Chris Stratton landed on a new squad while Hunter Renfroe was designated to free agency. Frazier had a huge week with 12 hits in seven games and four multi-hit performances. Rooker followed with nine hits in six games and had two games with three hits.
