Diamond Dawgs in the Show Update: June 24

It’s baseball season yet again.
The Major League Baseball season is underway and several former Mississippi State players are doing their thing on baseball’s biggest stage. That includes former State standout Jake Mangum who made his debut with Tampa Bay this year and he has made a major impact.
The State legend is one of seven former Bulldogs that are active in the league with several more likely in and out this year. A few players made moves in the offseason like Nathaniel Lowe going to Washington and Adam Frazier making his return to the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Jordan Westburg is back looking to build on his breakthrough season with the Baltimore Orioles while Brent Rooker is hoping to continue his great run with Oakland. State also has arms Brandon Woodruff and JP France working back recovering from injuries last season.
Over the last week, Lowe hit three home runs in six games and notched the century mark in career long balls while Mangum continued a strong return back to the main roster with more hits taking his average up to .318. Additionally, Justin Foscue made his return to the MLB for the first time this season.
