Diamond Dawgs in the Show Update: September 18

It’s baseball season yet again.
The Major League Baseball season is underway and several former Mississippi State players are doing their thing on baseball’s biggest stage. That includes former State standout Jake Mangum who made his debut with Tampa Bay this year and he has made a major impact.
The State legend is one of nine former Bulldogs that are active in the league with several more likely in and out this year. A few players made moves in the offseason like Nathaniel Lowe going to Washington before being signed by the Boston Red Sox and Adam Frazier made his return to the Pittsburgh Pirates before being traded to another familiar stop in Kansas City.
Jordan Westburg is back looking to build on his breakthrough season with the Baltimore Orioles while Brent Rooker is hoping to continue his great run with Oakland. Brandon Woodruff is back after shoulder surgery and JP France is working back recovering from an injury last season.
Over the last week, J.T. Ginn threw another great start with a scoreless 4.1 innings, Frazier notched his 100th hit for the fifth time in his 10-year career and first time since 2022 and Westburg is back from injury.
