Bulldogs in the NFL Update: Week 8

A new NFL season is here with Mississippi State fans watching many of their favorite players continue to do big things on the biggest stage.

The Bulldogs have 17 players currently on NFL rosters with a few of those players dealing with injuries. Dak Prescott leads the way in terms of star power as he continues to lead one of the biggest brands in sports as the Dallas Cowboys quarterback.

Darius Slay, Willie Gay and Tyrus Wheat have found new homes and Chris Jones continues on with the Kansas City Chiefs as he and his team look to keep the dynasty going.

Every week, we’ll take a look at each of these players and how they performed on the field.

This week, Prescott broke up a streak of games with three or more touchdowns and no interceptions as his Cowboys lost at Denver, but the former Bulldog QB became the second QB in franchise history to rush for over 2,000 yards.  Montez Sweat had his second-straight game with a sack and notched the 50^th of his career in a loss at Baltimore.

Gay got his first start of the season and more than doubled his season total in tackles in that one game.
