Diamond Dawgs in the Show Update: July 22

It’s baseball season yet again.
The Major League Baseball season is underway and several former Mississippi State players are doing their thing on baseball’s biggest stage. That includes former State standout Jake Mangum who made his debut with Tampa Bay this year and he has made a major impact.
The State legend is one of nine former Bulldogs that are active in the league with several more likely in and out this year. A few players made moves in the offseason like Nathaniel Lowe going to Washington and Adam Frazier made his return to the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Jordan Westburg is back looking to build on his breakthrough season with the Baltimore Orioles while Brent Rooker is hoping to continue his great run with Oakland. Brandon Woodruff is back after shoulder surgery and JP France is working back recovering from an injury last season.
Over the last week, Woodruff continued to dominate his starts with 6.0 scoreless innings. Frazier was traded to the Kansas City Royals and began his tenure with two doubles. Brent Rooker hit his 100th career home run and notched a new career high with three triples this season.
