Bulldog commitment Jaiden Taylor eager to get senior season underway

2026 Mississippi State commitment Jaiden Taylor experienced a lot of success last season at Noxubee County High School. But entering his senior season, the Rivals three-star athlete wants to taste a lot more success.
Last year Taylor was a playmaker on both sides of the ball, totaling 926 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns. Defensively, he had 56 tackles, four interceptions and three defensive touchdowns. Taylor is rated as the nation’s No. 32 athlete and the state’s No. 21 prospect by Rivals.
“It’s been smooth in practice so far,” Taylor recalled. “It’s been good in fall camp and just ready for my senior year. They got me all over the field and I am mainly at receiver, defensive back and I’ve been in the box some, too. Then I’m also on kick and punt return and all of that.”
Taylor and his teammates lost in the Class 3A championship game last year. So taking that next step helped fuel Taylor this offseason.
“Overall, it was a productive summer,” added the 6-foot and 180-pound Taylor. “I worked a lot on my route running and I also got faster. Those were my main focuses and doing whatever I can to help us win it all.”
Taylor committed to Mississippi State last December and has remained solid with that decision. He still hears from a couple of other programs and noted again he is on track to graduate high school in December.
“It’s still great with Mississippi State and I love being committed there,” Taylor remarked. “The coaches have been keeping me updated every day and they want me to keep grinding every day. I can’t wait to enroll there early and it’s going to be big for me.

“Southern Miss and Arkansas are still recruiting me and that’s mainly it besides Mississippi State. But I am good with Mississippi State.”
With his versatility, Taylor has discussed his future role often with Mississippi State’s staff. Much like he does at Noxubee County, that could include playing on either side of the football.
“We’ve talked about where they see me playing,” noted Taylor. “They are recruiting me at both sides. They have mentioned safety and receiver. I have no issues with that and I want to try all of that.”
Of course, Taylor has also been able to get more insight as what to expect at Mississippi state from his brother, who is Bulldog freshman quarterback KaMario Taylor.
“I talk to my brother about their training camp every day,” Taylor mentioned. “He said it is hard but that you got to come with it every day. He’s having fun and he learning every day.”
