Mississippi State opens the 2025 home slate this weekend and the Bulldogs face a major challenge right off the bat. No. 10 Arizona State will travel to Starkville for the first time this weekend and the Sun Devils’ first-ever game inside the Magnolia State.

Arizona State jumped on Mississippi State early last season in the first-ever meeting between the two schools. The Sun Devils built a 30-7 lead in the second half and held on for a 30-23 win. Arizona State ended up winning the Big 12 last season and also earned a spot in the CFP bracket before falling to Texas.

Both teams opened the season last weekend with a victory. Mississippi State captured a 34-17 victory at Southern Miss while Arizona State defeated FCS foe Northern Arizona at home.
