Mississippi State closes out the non-conference portion of the schedule on Saturday when Northern Illinois visits Davis Wade Stadium. It marks the first-ever meeting between the Bulldogs and MAC opponent.

Mississippi State is off to a 3-0 start this season following wins over Southern Miss, Arizona State and Alcorn State. The Huskies, who had an open date last weekend, enter with a 1-1 record, defeating Holy Cross in the season opener before losing at Maryland two weeks ago.

A win would give Mississippi State its first 4-0 start since the 2014 season and also help erase some memories of the last time a MAC foe visited Starkville. That was Toledo last season as the Rockets dominated the Bulldogs in Jeff Lebby’s first season at the helm.
