Per a report by Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports, Mississippi State has learned its opponent and site for this season’s SEC/ACC Challenge. The Bulldogs will face a familiar foe in that event with a road game at Georgia Tech either on Dec. 2nd or Dec. 3rd.

In the all-time series on the hardwood, Georgia Tech holds a 17-13 advantage and the Yellow Jackets also hold a 7-5 advantage in home games against Mississippi State. The last time the Bulldogs faced Georgia Tech was in the SEC/ACC Challenge and the Yellow Jackets claimed a 67-59 win in November of the 2023-24 season.

Other SEC/ACC Challenge matchups include Florida at Duke, North Carolina at Kentucky, Virginia at Texas, N.C. State at Auburn, Clemson at Alabama, Louisville at Arkansas, Oklahoma at Wake Forest, SMU at Vanderbilt, Texas A&M at Pittsburgh, Miami at Ole Miss, LSU at Boston College, Virginia Tech at South Carolina, Tennessee at Syracuse, Missouri at Notre Dame and Georgia at Florida State.

Last month, the Bulldogs also officially announced a neutral-court site meeting with Iowa State, who reached the Round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament this past season. Mississippi State and Iowa State are slated to meet on Nov. 10th at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D., with tipoff times and TV network assignment to be announced later.

In June, State also announced non-conference home games against Southeastern Louisiana (Nov. 15), New Orleans (Nov. 24) and Long Island (Dec. 16).

Also announced recently, Mississippi State will play in the 2025 Hall of Fame Classic on November 20-21 at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Mo. Other teams in the event include Kansas State, Nebraska and New Mexico. The tournament matchups, games times and TV broadcast information will be released at a later date.

Other non-conference outings for the 2025-26 season include a home game against SMU on Nov. 28th along with a matchup with Utah at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Mississippi State finished 21-13 this past season, including an 8-10 mark inside the SEC. The Bulldogs advanced to the program’s third straight NCAA Tournament under head coach Chris Jans and dropped a 75-72 decision to Baylor in the first round. During last season, the Bulldogs posted a 13-3 non-conference record, which included a 6-0 record at home, 2-0 mark on the road and a 5-3 record in neutral site non-conference games.

With at least 21 victories in the past three seasons, Jans is one of four head coaches in SEC history to total at least 21 victories and advance to the NCAA Tournament in each of his first three campaigns.
